Summer Sweepstakes Contest

By reducing their electricity consumption by 10% between July 1 and August 31 as compared to the same period last summer, Ontarians are eligible for the Grand Prize Draw. They will have a chance to win exciting “green” prizes including new energy efficient appliances or top-of-the-line mountain bikes. To be eligible for the contest, consumers must be an account holder at a participating electric utility, have lived at their residence for the previous 12 months and reduce their electricity use by 10%.

The Every Kilowatt Counts Summer Sweepstakes is designed to reduce summer electricity consumption by ten per cent among Ontario’s homeowners. Residents are encouraged to register for the contest prior to June 30 to be eligible to win Early Bird prizes which include solar iPod/cell phone chargers and power bars with integrated timers. Consumers who have registered and who successfully reduce their electricity consumption by 10 per cent will receive an additional 10 per cent saving on their electricity bill.
