ecoENERGY Update
The Government of Canada no longer administers the ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes program, that provided grants for efficiency upgrades for homeowners. However, homeowners that are concerned about the energy efficiency of their home can still book an assessment with the Environment Network to find out where improvements can be made in their home.
Please phone 705-446-0551 or toll free 1-866-377-0551 to book an assessment.

ecoENERGY Process
Initial Evaluation (1.5 - 2 hours)
Our Certified Energy Advisors will thoroughly evaluate your house from attic to basement checking your insulation, windows, furnace, and hot water tank. We recommend you be home for the entire evaluation which will allow you to ask about any questions you may have. A Blower Door is used to test for leaks in the outer shell of your home, at this time you will walk around your home to see where these leaks are.
Your Report
Within 2 weeks of your initial visit your Certified Energy Advisor will mail you a report. Your report will list recommendations for retrofits that will improve the energy efficiency of your home.
Follow Up Evaluation (0.5 hours)
Once you have completed your retrofits call us for your follow up evaluation and we will (in most cases) send out the same advisor that did your initial evaluation. He/she will re-evaluate your home and look at the improvements you have made.
What is the cost?
There is a cost to the homeowner for the service. The initial visit is $300.00 + GST paid to the Environment Network.
A post-retrofit visit to verify the improvements is available, at a cost of$150.00 + GST.
Please note if you would like to pay by Visa or Mastercard there will be an additional $10.00 fee added to $300.00 and $5.00 added to $150.00 to offset the charges from the credit card company.
