Ashleigh Ahrens
Food Security Coordinator
Ashleigh leads the community gardens and greenhouse programs at the Environment Network, overseeing food distribution and fostering community engagement around food security. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a Minor in International Development, and a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of Guelph.
With a diverse background across agricultural sectors, from dairy farming and tender fruit to cannabis and muck crops, Ashleigh’s passion for plants has continued to grow. This is her first role in the nonprofit sector, and she is excited to make a meaningful impact on the local community.
Recently relocating to the Georgian Bay area with her fiancé, Bailey, Ashleigh enjoys spending her free time outdoors with Kano, their Australian cattle dog mix, who was rescued from Texas.
