Jeff Young
Director
Jeff is passionate about the natural environment and stewardship. Moving to Collingwood eight years ago, he was quick to engage in local environmental initiatives. He is a former Board Member of the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust and is a co-director of Pollinate Collingwood.
Jeff has earned his Master Naturalist Certification from Lakehead University. As an environmentalist and active board member, Jeff is focused on supporting The Environment Network in active transportation, the local gardening, food security and the upcoming greenhouse programs.
One of Jeff’s passions is rewilding projects, and is currently working on rewilding a section along Poplar Side Road. He also owns and maintains an amazing property, full of native trees, shrubs, and perennials that provides natural spaces and shelter for local birds and wildlife.
Jeff is a busy father of two and also enjoys biking, hiking, camping and gardening. Whether it’s on the mountain or in his own backyard, being outdoors where you’ll find him.
